Fall Season

FALL IS A SEASON OF RENEWAL.  It is a time to strengthen your immune system in preparation for the winter cold and flu season.

As weather becomes colder and we stay indoors, people catch colds and viruses. Here are some tips to avoid geting sick and recovering quickly.  HEALTHY BODIES have an easier time fighting off infections.

EAT IMMUNE BUILDING FOODS
  • Organic fruits and vegetables contain up to 40% more antioxidants than non-organic equivalents.
  • Garlic may boost your immune system, increasing resistance to infection.
  • Vitamin C, found in citrus fruits and juices, may also help the body's immune system.
  • Zinc plays an important role in the proper functioning of the immune system in the body
  • Fresh ginger root can help you when you are sick by inducing sweating and decreasing nausea and diarrhea.
EXERCISE REGULARLY -  Even moderate physical activity produces positive effects o the immune system.
DECREASE STRESS - meditate and sleep well
WASH YOUR HANDS FREQUENTLY -  keep the germs away
