Herbs with a special relationship to Liver Health

Dandelion - serves as both a food and medicinal plant.  The leaf is a powerful diuretic and has a wonderful effect on the kidneys.  It is high in potassium and helps maintain and restore sodium/potassium levels in the body.  The root and leaf are excellent for digestive upsets.
Add Dandelion to your salad everyday.

Milk Thistle - has been used for 2000 years to treat the liver and protect the liver against toxins.  It is also reported to have protective effects and greatly improve its function
